Bloomfield Homes Builder Profile: What to Know Before Building in Commerce and Trenton, TX
By Shannon Miles, GRI, CLHMS · Last updated September 30, 2026
Bloomfield Homes is the Texas builder behind two of the most active new construction communities in Northeast Texas right now: East Oak Creek in Commerce and Anderson Crossing in Trenton. For buyers weighing a new home in Hunt or Fannin County, understanding how Bloomfield builds, what its floor plans offer, and how its buying process works matters before you ever step into a model home. Here is the builder profile we share with every client evaluating a Bloomfield community.
Who is Bloomfield Homes?
Bloomfield Homes was founded in 1999 and is headquartered in Dallas, Texas. It is a regional builder with deep Texas roots, not a high-volume national company. The company builds both its Classic Series and its Elements Series homes, so buyers get a choice between traditional floor plans and more modern, design-forward options. Energy-efficient construction is standard across both series, and the builder is known for responsive communication through the build.
You can see the company's full history on our Bloomfield Homes builder page.
Where does Bloomfield Homes build in Northeast Texas?
Bloomfield's Northeast Texas footprint is two growing communities, and they serve two different kinds of buyers.
East Oak Creek in Commerce
East Oak Creek sits in Hunt County, roughly 70 miles northeast of Dallas, with Texas A&M University-Commerce minutes away. Floor plans span about 1,500 to more than 4,300 square feet, so the community genuinely serves both first-time buyers and large families. Pricing starts in the high $200,000s and stretches into the low $500,000s for the largest plans with premium finishes. The community is served by Commerce ISD and carries an annual HOA fee of about $400, with an adjacent elementary school and park. Tour the community on our East Oak Creek page or read the full East Oak Creek community guide.
Anderson Crossing in Trenton
Anderson Crossing is Bloomfield's newest Northeast Texas community, located at 1106 Alexander Street in Trenton, Fannin County, about 20 minutes northeast of McKinney with easy access to US-75, US-69, and SH-121. It offers 34 Classic Series floor plans from 1,840 to 4,226 square feet, with pricing starting in the $340s. Trenton ISD is a small, tight-knit district of roughly 700 students, and the community's $490 annual HOA fee covers a playground, a pavilion, and walking trails. See the details on our Anderson Crossing page or in the Anderson Crossing community guide.
What makes Bloomfield floor plans different?
The single biggest reason buyers choose Bloomfield is the size of the plan library. East Oak Creek alone spans roughly 1,500 to more than 4,300 square feet, so the same builder serves a first-time buyer and a multigenerational family needing five or six bedrooms. At Anderson Crossing, the 34 Classic Series plans range from entry-level one-story homes to large two-story designs with up to six bedrooms and three-car garages.
Whatever the size, the design philosophy stays consistent. Bloomfield plans favor open-concept living areas, well-appointed kitchens, and primary suites designed for how families actually live. Because the builder is regional rather than national, plans get refined on feedback from Texas buyers instead of being rolled out across the country unchanged.
What about construction quality and the warranty?
Every new construction home in Texas carries statutory warranty protections, and Bloomfield backs its homes with a structured warranty process. Before closing, we go through the warranty line by line so you know what is covered in your first year, what the structural terms are, and how to file a claim. Our guide on new construction home warranties explains the protections every Texas buyer has.
What to watch for with a Bloomfield purchase
The most important thing to know is the registration policy. Bloomfield, like most builders, registers buyers on their first visit to the model home. Walk in without an agent and register directly with the sales team, and adding your own representation later becomes difficult or sometimes impossible. That single visit can quietly give up your right to be represented, so we coordinate registration for our clients before they ever set foot in the model.
It is also worth going in knowing what the base price includes versus what is an upgrade. The design center is where budget surprises happen, and we help clients separate the upgrades that protect resale value from the ones that are better handled later. See our new construction upgrades guide for what is worth the money and what to skip.
The smartest first step
Shannon and Scott Miles are new construction buyer specialists at eXp Realty and represent buyers at both Bloomfield communities, East Oak Creek and Anderson Crossing. They know the floor plans, the lot options, the builder's standard features, and how to negotiate upgrades and incentives. Because the builder pays the buyer's agent commission on new construction, their representation costs you nothing.
The best time to bring them in is before your first model home visit. Reach out to schedule a walkthrough of East Oak Creek or Anderson Crossing and see for yourself what Bloomfield Homes is building in Commerce and Trenton right now.
